DTF vs Embroidery vs Screen Printing in DC

Four live methods and the part of a DC program each one suits.

DTF, embroidery, screen printing and a hat bar all work on site at DC events. They suit different moments in the same program, which is why a lot of our DC quotes end up with two of them.

Live DTF printing

Full-color transfers pressed on the spot, with no screens and no minimums. It's the method for names, state lines, seals and detailed logos. See live DTF printing.

Live embroidery

Stitched logos and initials, slower and more premium. It suits board dinners, gala VIP rooms and speaker gifts. See live embroidery.

Live screen printing

Real presses and ink for one design in one to three colors at volume. It's the pick for a busy convention booth or a registration line. See live screen printing.

Live hat bar

Guests choose a cap and a patch and we press it on. It packs light and works at receptions and sponsor lounges. See the hat bar.

Rule of thumb: volume means screen printing. Names or full color mean DTF. A gift means embroidery or the hat bar. Most DC events run one core station plus one upgrade.

Still deciding? Read DTF or screen printing or send your event details and we'll recommend a mix.

Planning notes

A common DC pairing

Screen printing on the expo floor during the day, then DTF names or a hat bar at the evening reception. Same crew, same trip from Fullerton, two different moments.
